Wind farm being reviewed by the Public Service Commission
The Public Service Commission (PSC) recently held a formal hearing on a new wind project, to potentially be built in Adams County. The project, Thunder Spirit Wind Energy, would be spread out over a 42 square mile area, and would produce 150 megawatts. There are still several challenges facing the project, including possible interference with air traffic at the Hettinger airport and nesting areas for sage grouse and also golden eagles.
