Water restrictions in the oil patch
R&T Water Supply, which serves Ray, Tioga, Stanley and Wildrose in the heart of the oil patch, has put a year-long moratorium on serving new housing developments because of water restrictions. At least three housing developments are on hold until builders find another source of water. R&T Supply will be served by the new pipeline built by the Western Area Water Supply, but the project won’t be completed until the end of the year. And even then, officials are concerned it won’t be enough to serve the explosive growth. Read the story in the Bismarck Tribune.
