Utility MACT = More $$$ for some?

An Ohio-based utility, First Energy, is shutting down six coal-fired plants due to the Utility MACT rule on emissions. However, the Huffington Post reports that for some utilities like First Energy, this will result in greater returns for the company as electricity prices rise. According to the article, without the plants, electricity prices in parts of Ohio that are dominated by First Energy are expected to nearly double at a power auction scheduled for May.
