State mineral resources agency seeks funding

The North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources is asking for additional funding from the Legislature to help brace for potential federal energy regulations. Agency director Lynn Helms said that potential regulations could slow down oil and gas production, increase time and money needed for drilling permits, and lead to potential lawsuits.
