Secretary of Interior tours Western ND
Sally Jewell, U.S. Secretary of the Interior, visited North Dakota for the first time this week and was able to see the energy opportunity in western North Dakota firsthand. Jewell was accompanied by U.S. Senators John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp, N.D. Lt. Governor Drew Wrigley, and energy industry representatives Harold Hamm (CEO, Continental Resources), and Torstein Hole (Senior Vice President, Statoil). The delegation from North Dakota emphasized state-by-state energy regulation and development.
