Research shows promise in lower Three Forks
Continental Resources has been conducting extensive exploratory drilling in the Lower Three Forks, areas TF2, TF3 and TF4, to see if there is more oil available that has not yet been accessed. The company recently confirmed that test wells are looking promising and that the wells are averaging 1,200 barrels of oil per day in TF2, and 970 barrels of oil per day in the TF3 areas. The company’s next step will be to demonstrate that they have a good, productive footprint covering around 3,800 square miles.
