Plans move forward for wind farm

Thanks to the extension of the wind energy federal production tax credit, North Dakota might see another wind farm developed near the town of Courtenay, about 25 miles north of Jamestown. Geronimo Wind Energy, based out of Edina, Minn., is planning a project between 100 and 200 megawatts (58 to 120 turbines). The project’s been in the works for several years, but only recently has the company sped up the development plan. Geronimo plans on applying for a permit in January.
