Oil production increases, flaring decreases in June
Recent reports show that North Dakota oil production increased by 10,000 barrels in June to 821,000 total barrels. The increase was less than initially predicted by the ND Dept. of Mineral Resources. In addition, a decline of 1 percent was reported by the department, dropping North Dakota’s total flared gas to 28 percent. Although the number is still high, the department has predicted that new policies could be in place before the end of the year to reduce that number further.
