North Dakota wind farm legal battle continues
Xcel Energy announced yesterday that no agreement has yet been reached between its company and enXco Development Corp. of San Diego. In 2011, plans fell through between the two companies after its $400 million wind farm plan in southeast North Dakota was flagged by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for potentially harming protected species in the area. The two companies sued each other and will likely go to trial at the end of this year or early next year, according to an Xcel spokesperson.
