New technology helping divert flared gas
Blaise Energy, based in Bismarck has developed technology to help capture some of the power released by natural gas. The company is currently capturing gas at one well site near Williston and is producing enough power for 40 homes. The company’s owner, Mark Wald, said that the end goal of developing the technology is to get rid of flaring completely. The company was developed with a grant from North Dakota’s Oil and Gas Research Council and additional federal stimulus funding. Read more from the Grand Forks Herald.
