New biofuel regulations to be released

Speculators are anticipating the U.S. EPA will soon release new, lower biofuel regulations. A draft of the EPA’s new regulations was recently leaked, indicating that corn-based ethanol production will potentially decline in 2014. Lobbyists from the petroleum industry are pushing for the EPA to release their new regulations by the end of November. Even if lower regulations are released, experts say that the EPA will continue to support future use of E15 (gasoline with 15 percent ethanol content).
