ND oil production increasing rapidly
May oil production in North Dakota was up almost 1.3 million barrels over April, say officials from the ND Department of Mineral Resources. Wells produced more than 810,000 barrels of oil per day, which is a breakthrough for the state. Currently, there are more than 185 active wells in the state, which will keep the production of oil at a 20,000 barrel a day increase through August. North Dakota remains the number two oil producer in the country, behind Texas.
