Natural gas use opportunities continue to grow

Natural gas is an abundant resource in North Dakota, and three companies are looking to make that resource more usable by providing equipment to fuel vehicles. GoCH4, MicoLNG, and AmeriFlare have put out a call for submissions, and any company interested in the potential of running vehicles on natural gas is encouraged to submit their information. Submissions are non-binding and due December 31. GoCH4 estimates that it would cost between $200,000 to $300,000 to convert a large diesel engine to natural gas, but that the investments could be recovered very quickly. The cost of a gallon of natural gas is typically between $1.90 to $2.50 per gallon. Learn more from the Bismarck Tribune.
