Minot Air Force Base increasing energy efficiency

Midwest Energy News posted a story this week on energy efficiency initiatives at the Minot, N.D., Air Force Base. Lawrence Johnson started there in 2003 and soon found ways to increase efficiency and save money. In fact, his work has resulted with Minot, N.D., where temps dramatically swing, having one of the lowest building energy costs in all the military. The savings are due to the installation of heat pumps on the base and off the base at remote missile facilities. Read the story on the Midwest Energy News website.
