Local Man Invents Fracking Safety Clamp
An Elgin man has invented a new safety clamp to keep fracking fluid tank liners and water corrals safely in place. Inventor Seymour Volk says that he wants to manufacture the invention locally and expects to produce between 1,500 and 2,000 clamps per week. The clamps are more expensive than the C-clamps that are normally used to keep liners in place; however, the new safety clamps are expected to have a 20-year life span and do not require any tools to install.
