Legislators review natural gas tax exemption bill

House Bill 1134 is a proposal that would give tax incentives and exemptions to oil and gas companies for reducing natural gas flaring in the state. Current rate of flaring is 30 percent. If a company connected a drilled well on day one with a natural gas gathering system, it would be eligible for a two-year oil exemption from state gross production taxes.
