First LNG Plant to Open This Summer

North Dakota LNG and Prairie Companies LLC is constructing the state’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant near Tioga.  The plant is expected to begin operating this summer, initially producing 10,000 gallons of LNG per day.  The company has plans to expand capacity to 76,000 gallons per day by 2015.  The plant will eventually employ 25-30 people and some of the LNG produced will be used to supplement diesel fuel used on drilling rigs and other oil field operations.  Read more in the Dickinson Press.
