Federal Reserve Bank releases banking data for Bakken oil boom
The fedgazette, quarterly newspaper of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, has published a special feature showcasing the Bakken oil boom (in addition to other articles focused on oil patch issues). The feature section provides graphs and statistics that sum up oil production, employment levels, construction activity and bank deposits and loans. The charts compare the Bakken region with North Dakota and Montana. See the special feature – Bakken Oil Boom – here.
Included in the special feature is a June 20, 2012 memo that includes detailed graphs and information on population distribution, income and poverty, housing, home values and banking.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is the headquarters of the ninth district of the Federal Reserve Bank, which includes four states (ND, SD, MT and MN) and parts of Wisconsin and Michigan.
