EPA fracking study complete by 2016
Hydraulic fracking and its effects on the environment are being studied by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), an investigation prompted by Congress in 2010. Water samples are being tested from drilling areas in Pennsylvania, Colorado, North Dakota and Texas through the cooperation of nine energy companies and nine drilling-supply companies.
