Dickinson shares growing pains with Pleasanton
Dickinson shares many similarities with fellow “boomtown” – Pleasanton, Texas, in the heart of the Eagle Ford shale play. The Pleasanton city manager shares many of the same issues affecting Dickinson residents, such as increased traffic, higher rents and busier restaurants. Both communities are currently looking at a traffic diversion route. Dickinson City Administrator Shawn Kessel said that he’s in talks with state officials to create a truck bypass for Dickinson.
