Dakota Prairie Refining to Begin Operating Later This Year

Calumet Specialty Partners announced this week that a 20,000 barrel per day diesel refinery under construction near Dickinson will begin commissioning in the fourth quarter of 2014. After a three-month production ramp-up period, Dakota Prairie Refining will produce 8,000 bpd of diesel fuel and an additional 6,000 bpd of diesel refining leftovers. Naphtha will also be sold from the facility for use in mixing with Canadian heavy crude. Read more in Prairie Business Magazine.
