Clark confirmed to federal board
Tony Clark, chairman of North Dakota’s Public Service Commission, was confirmed by U.S. Senate late yesterday and will be sworn in, possibly within a few weeks, to be the newest member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The five-member commission regulates the nation’s electric transmission and oil/gas pipeline network. Clark plans to resign from his North Dakota post once sworn in on the federal board, leaving an open spot that will be filled by appointment from North Dakota Governor, Jack Dalrymple.
