Ceremony for high-efficiency feed pump announced
University of North Dakota’s Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) has invited the public to their April ribbon-cutting and commissioning ceremony for a prototype of a new feed pump system. The commercial-scale prototype uses unique technology to gasify solid fuels efficiently and with low emissions. The project was developed between a partnership of U.S. Department of Energy National Energy Technology Laboratory, Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, Inc., ExxonMobile Research and Engineering Company, Alberta Innovates – Energy and Environment Solutions, and the EERC. The event will be on April 10, 2012, at the EERC’s Discovery Hall. The reception starts at 1:00 p.m. with the program at 1:30 p.m. Read the EERC news release on the commissioning ceremony here.
