Carbon emissions questions develop

Coal utilities in North Dakota have new questions after President Obama introduced new goals to reduce carbon emissions last week. Coal remains a major source of energy production in the state, although most utilities have begun branching into renewable alternatives to reduce carbon emissions.  Utility representatives said that changing the primary energy production method will likely result in increased electricity rates for consumers.  Read more in the Grand Forks Herald.
