Bi-fuels reducing flaring in oil patch
A Williston company is taking natural gas that would otherwise be flared and is using it to create fuel to run rigs, generators and diesel engines. ECO AFS blends natural gas with diesel to replace up to 60 percent of the diesel needed to power a drilling rig. Jeff Anderson, regional manager for ECO AFS, said that the concept has been around for a while, but the state just recently started employing this technology.
