Bank activity on the rise in Western ND
Banking in the Bakken area of western North Dakota has been on the rise since 2010, and increased exponentially between March 2010 and March 2013. A large portion of the business is from a rise in deposits, construction and land development loans, which is contrary to other areas in North Dakota and Montana, which have actually seen declines in both construction and land development loans.
