Additional natural gas headed to Chicago

An agreement was recently reached between Aux-Sable Midstream, LLC (Calgary) and Summit Midstream Partners LP (Dallas) to move an additional 13 million cubic feet of natural gas daily to Chicago. The agreement is an effort to help reduce flaring in North Dakota, and also to utilize the natural gas, which can be converted into fuels such as butane, propane, and methane. ND Governor Jack Dalrymple said that “We continue to work…to reduce the flaring of this valuable energy resource,” and that this project will help the state eventually meet those goals.  See the Dickinson Press for the complete article.
