3,000-unit crew camp approved
Accommodate International won unanimous approval from Dickinson City commissioners this week on the construction of a 3,000-unit lodging facility that would provide housing for oil field workers. The commissioners heard arguments from the hotel industry that worried the large facility would harm the hospitality business in the city. Accommodate plans to have 1,000 units constructed this October and add on units as it’s successful. The project would be finished late 2013. Dickinson mayor Dennis Johnson said Dickinson’s population could grow to 40,000 people in 10 years. Read the Dickinson Press story on the new crew camp decision.
