Standing Rock Sioux Tribe doing wind power feasibility study

Last month the Department of Energy announced that the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in Fort Yates, ND, received an award of $430,982 to determine the feasibility of additional wind farms on tribal lands. The study will be used to potentially develop an additional 50-100 megawatts of wind energy. See the DOE Wind Powering America news release here.
