Department of Energy details FY2013 budget for energy programs

The US Secretary of Energy Steven Chu details what President Obama’s fiscal year 2013 budget means for the Department of Energy. He outlines the amount of money going to support research and development for advanced fossil fuel power systems and carbon capture, nuclear energy, battery storage, as well steps the Department will take to reduce costs, such as reducing new employee hires by 45 percent and getting rid of 4.6 million gross square feet of excess real property.
