GPEC Staff
Emily McKay joined the Great Plains Energy Corridor as Director in October 2011. A former Peace Corps volunteer, McKay has worked in the energy industry for more than six years, most recently at Basin Electric Power Cooperative in Bismarck. McKay graduated from the University of Mary in 2002 and the Bismarck-Mandan Leadership program in 2010. A native of Jamestown, ND, McKay is married to Ted Cash, and they have one son, Flynn.

Mary Morrell is Administrative Assistant for the Energy Corridor. She also serves as Administrative Assistant to the Vice President, National Energy Center of Excellence and has been at Bismarck State College since 2005. She is a 1988 graduate of BSC's legal secretary program. Prior to working at BSC, she was administrative secretary for St. Catherine's Church in Valley City and office manager for Aid Association for Lutherans. Ms. Morrell also did commercial propane sales for Ferrellgas, Inc. in Minot. She was active in local and state Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) and served on the State Board of Directors. Ms. Morrell and her husband Raymond have four children and reside in rural Mandan.
